The first of three dance/disco quick blend collections. There are 35+ tracks on this volume & each volume was created to take you on a non-stop journey. Although all three volumes are focused on the eighties, they include some late 70's classics as well.

Led Zeppelin: In the Interest of Time

Well where do I start with this one... Probably the greatest innovative 4 man groups to lead the way from back in the 60's with a wide coverage of instruments. Their main genre falls into classic rock and the challenge at the time, (about 1987), was to fit as many studio tracks onto a 43 minute reel of tape. Once this challenge was met, the cd had allowed expansion to 80 minutes. In the Interest of Time takes a journey through the vast styles of Led Zep. From classic rock to acoustic to folk & experimental, even live cuts made the final edit & ALL tracks are in there in one way or another!

Remember Hip-Hop. I mean the shit that started it all. Well, with the exception of a Paul Revere Mashup done in 1998, here is another 'Waxin' to Reels session from around 89. Too bad I only got 40 minutes a reel back then. The session cuts off with Big Daddy Kane sayin' IM THE ORIGINAL. Couldn't of planned it better smiley

As the DJ became the center of attraction in rap, MC’s got lyrical & Hip-Hop turned electronic. This 107 minute episode begins with one of the top innovators, Jam Master Jay, then digs the crates for break, drop & cut up tracks. The original loop in Apache is pointed out for Nas’s ‘They Shoot’. Sampling and drops became more prominent & Tupac & Biggie took lyrics to another level. Still, it was the DJ that kept the sounds coming. Scratch DJ's - The Supreme Team hit WHBI 105.9 in New York & released Buffalo Gals. In the last 10 minutes of this episode scratchin' would be taken to the next level by The X-Ecutioners.
